Catching up

I can't really even remember my last entry, it's been so long. So now Spring Break is over, Tim's parents have moved onto Washington and we are just trying to catch up! It has been a crazy week, with some good times. I think Tim's dad is officially hooked on guitar hero (for my GH fans, Tim can now get through "On the Road Again" and my kids now know that "Band on the Run" is a GH song...LOL.)

We now have a new front rail (thank goodness, our old one was really becoming a safety hazard) and a new (not quite functional) garage door opener. A new deck umbrella AND a stand (we've had this set for 5 years and we have NEVER bought a stand. Probably part of the reason we had to buy a new umbrella...) New lights for our family room, what a difference! I love the fact that stuff gets cranked out when they visit (thanks to Dad W.!) I love my husband, but, ah, sometimes he's not a finisher. :-)

Easter was super fun. The kids had a great time with their Easter Bunny gifts. And the azaleas at church were perfect for pictures! Let' s see...Kelsey got blue marker on her dress BEFORE we even left the house that not even tide to go could help...it was a little cool, but all was still well. Oh, I think I forgot the 2nd haircutting incident. Oops, she did it again. This time she had to climb my desk to get the scissors, but I was about out of my mind over it. I know it will grow back in, but still...I think this girl has a future in cosmetology.

New card

Just a quickie...went to a surprise girly gathering for Jen on tuesday...her favorite, the Angus Barn,
where I went for the first time ever. And I've been in Raleigh, oh, 12 years now? It was yum-o. Much more casual than I thought it would be too. So I made a quickie card for her. It's blue and green since she doesn't know what she's having (I think it's a boy)...but we shall see in a bit. I just hope (selfishly) that she doesn't have the baby before preschool is out!

Looks like a beautiful weekend here! Kyle has a school make up day tomorrow morning. I'll be at the Y and getting a hair trim. Oh, and preparing the house for Tim's parents who are arriving early next week. Yikes. That is going to be an all weekend affair!
