A splash of fall!

My girl at the patch!  I was lucky enough to go with Kelsey on her first field trip to the farm!  Gorgeous day, 70s, and lots of fun....hayrides, mazes, slides and jumping in corn! She is really cute with her classmates.  She loves them all.
We went to pick out our pumpkins earlier in the week.  Life is just cruising by too fast.  I cannot believe it is Halloween tomorrow.
Kelsey has her mini pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.  She told us while we were carving that she was supposed to bring it back to school tomorrow so she can decorate it.  Um, oops!
Our "big pumpkin" was the mack daddy of all pumpkins.  We bought our little book of pumpkin patterns and had punched it out on the pumpkin.  Tim tried to cut it and the knife would not go through!! It did though, finally.  Tomorrow there will be more pumpkin pictures!

Mom had her surgery this week for diverticulitis.  She is home and doing really well!! I am so happy and relieved!

Can't wait for Halloween tomorrow! Boooooooooooo!

Maybe I should start blogging again

Life in 2011...well, now I have a Kindergartener and a 3rd grader! How did this happen? I blinked, and here we are. This was taken at Lake Nantahala this past July. I've been switching up various blog sites (shutterfly, wordpress) and here I am, back at google! My personal life has taken some twists and turns, and after 2 years of doing nursing prerequisites and entering nursing school, I've decided it's not for me. At least for now. My school-family balance was not happening, and so I'm taking some time away. Now I have all this time and I'm not quite sure WHAT to do with it!! I know I will make up for it though. I was feeling terribly guilty about not being able to participate in the kids school activities, especially Kelsey. I love Kindergarten and I hated that I wasn't in the classroom more. So now I can be :-) As for my career aspirations, I have a lot of time to think about it. I repainted Kyle's bedroom before school started, and I actually enjoyed doing that more than I did any of my time in nursing school (sad, but true.) So this fall, I may delve into more yardwork and getting stuff done that I simply have not had the time to do. The kids are tracked out and I'm about at my wits end, so it's time for them to go back!! Soccer just ended, basketball is starting up and the kids are busy with gymnastics and swimming. I think we might be overscheduled.

I would also like to get back to my digital scrapping. Ever since the kids were born, they have but one book of pictures. For each of them. I don't know if I can start books for both of them again, or if I should just go for a family book. Maybe print one book out a year. Because I really do love that stuff and I have missed it.
